Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.

The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
